The Royal Caribbean Group's Celebrity Cruises brand has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Advocate, Celebrity Star Support on the Groups/STAR Team reporting to the Supervisor, Groups.
Position Summary:
Responsible for processing a high volume of complex transactions for all reservation and group types for STAR accounts to serve as a one stop desk, including allocating and maintaining Group stateroom inventory, air gateways, pre and post transfer and hotel packages, working with dining requests, entering manifests, applying payments, creating Group reservations, and amending bookings. Agents will primarily action requests from emails in a designated Email Inbox and/or Fax format that are sent in from the STAR accounts. In addition, agents will help with tasks as needed to support STAR viability as directed by a Supervisor or member of management. Agents will respond to email or faxed requests via written correspondence in either email or fax and will frequently communicate with all relevant shipboard, shore side or travel agents. Agents would support incoming phone calls for STAR as service level performance dictates.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Answers inbound correspondence from travel partners in a professional manner utilizing proper grammar and business writing format.
Resolves travel agent complaints by finding acceptable solution or explaining policies or procedures.
Process paid upgrades per Revenue Management. Also answer questions that come in a designated inbox.
Answer inbound chats from the Artificial Intelligent Chat Bot tool.
Responsible for supporting Travel Partners by explaining Celebrity policies and procedures as well as available service options like external booking and sales tools that enable the Travel Partner to be able to do business with us more efficiently.
Utilizes multiple applications such as the Groups and Individual Reservations booking tools, AffairWhere, Siebel, Outlook 365, Plusgrade, Pypestream, Siebel, Microsoft Office applications and other required applications including the Call Master telephone set for all job functions.
Reviews rates for staterooms, air gateways, hotel packages, cruise only transfers, taxes and fees, air schedules, and other company product offerings with consideration of Group inventory and coordination processes and policies.
Understands and is able to review and explain all STAR related reports and accounting in detail as needed.
Facilitates all STAR sales and service transaction types including: creating FIT/Group bookings from available sailing inventory, quoting pricing and terms on FIT/Group bookings, allocating Group inventory for guest bookings, adding or amending guest information to guest bookings, adding, amending or canceling products in guest booking, processing payment requests, and following all company processes and policies for STAR business as required.
Position is performed in accordance with all established Quality Assurance standards and definitions as well as all policies and procedures.
Responsible for maintaining appropriate professionalism, demonstrate a positive attitude and act as a role model for team members in upholding the values of Celebrity Cruises and the STAR department at all times.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
Minimum of 6 to 12 months experience within Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, or Azamara Reservations or other company department that utilizes core reservations applications required.
Experience with Groups and Individual Reservations systems or similar reservations system required.
Three to five years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience required, Associates degree (AA) or equivalent preferred.
Must maintain a high level of professionalism while continuously taking initiative and self- managing your time with minimal supervision.
Exhibits strong interpersonal skills, in addition to exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Works harmoniously and professionally with peers, travel partners and leaders across departments, both shipboard and shore side.
Demonstrates excellent follow up skills and organizational skills.
Knowledge of Pre-Cruise Planner Applications
Microsoft Word and Outlook 365 experience preferred
LANGUAGE: Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions, short correspondence, memos, and procedure manuals. Ability to understand and interpret verbal instructions from external customers. Strong written communication skills required.
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Ability to work, interact, and communicate with external/internal customers at all levels. Ability to build and maintain successful business relationships with external customers as well as co-workers in order to successfully service customer's needs.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions, and percentages.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to understand and carry out detailed but basic written or oral instructions.
DECISION MAKING: Ability to make decisions in situations where multiple variables and tight deadlines exist, assess complex situations and make mutually beneficial decisions where limited standardization exists, and assess the most complex and non-routine situations.
SYSTEMS: Knowledge of AS400 or similar reservations system preferred. Microsoft Word and Outlook 365 experience preferred. Experience with Groups and Individual Reservations systems or similar reservations system required
