What You'll Bring:
Job Summary Domain Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) are responsible for keeping all user-facing services and other T&E Application production systems running smoothly and securely. SREs are a blend of pragmatic operators and software developers that apply sound engineering principles, operational discipline, and mature automation to our operating environments and the T&E Applications codebase. SREs specialize in systems and application software (.Net applications, operating systems, storage subsystems, networking, full stack development), while implementing best practices for security, availability, reliability, and scalability, with varied interests in application security, database and distributed systems. T&E Applications are a unique set of consumer-facing UI and API applications and bring with them unique challenges. The Domain SRE team's experience engages with other Engineering groups within the company, as well as the T&E Application Development teams, T&E Product teams and their customers. Job Description Requirements: &bull Degree in computer science or equivalent &bull 8+ years of .Net development using Visual Studio &bull 4+ years of work experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Angular development &bull Experience with Database Development (SQL) &bull Experience with REST Web Services &bull Experience with ORM tools, Entity Framework, etc. &bull Experience with leading engineers through an enterprise Agile development process &bull Experience with leading team design sessions &bull Experience with providing architectural direction for overall team &bull Experience with leading team during team planning sessions including PI planning efforts &bull Experience with leading team through technical estimation process We'd Love to See: &bull Experience with DevOps technologies in a cloud environment (AWS preferred) &bull Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies &bull Experience with .NET/TFS build automation &bull Experience with test automation (Coded UI, data-driven web service testing) Additional Job Description SRE Responsibilities &bull Run our .Net applications and infrastructure with a wide range of technologies both on-premise and in the AWS Cloud &bull Build monitoring (observability platforms) that alerts on symptoms rather than on outages &bull Help design, build and maintain security features into everything we expose to our customers &bull Document actions so your findings turn into repeatable actions and then into automation. Skills should include the ability to code fixes in our .Net applications, working with the Application Development teams &bull Use a wide variety of .Net technology and other tools to improve our products as much as possible over time, working with the Application Development teams &bull Improve operational processes (such as deployments and upgrades) to make them as repeatable as possible &bull Design, build and maintain core infrastructure and application code that enables T&E Applications to support thousands of concurrent users &bull Debug production issues across services and levels of the stack &bull Plan the growth of T&E Applications infrastructure, database and other technology layers &bull Be on an on-call rotation to respond to incidents that impact T&E Application availability and provide support for other engineers and account management teams related to customer incidents &bull Focus on building proactive solutions to prevent incidents from ever happening &bull Leading and contributing to scope and designs for issues, epics, features and OKRs &bull Contributing to KBA's, create and update runbooks and general documentation &bull Completing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations and perform readiness reviews &bull Work with Corp Comm to approve customer facing RCA's &bull Improving team practices through code reviews, handoffs of work and incidents
