Vaccination for COVID-19 and Influenza (flu) is mandatory for all MSK staff. Staff are considered fully vaccinated upon completion of a primary vaccination series for COVID-19 (i.e., one dose of a single dose vaccine or a final dose of a multi-dose vaccine series). Exceptions from the COVID-19 and Influenza (flu) vaccine requirements are permitted for those who request and receive an approved medical, religious, or fully remote exemption. Requests for exemption can take up to two weeks to review. Vaccination or an approved exemption is required to start work.
Job Description
We are seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) for our K5 team, an inpatient floor at our new David H. Koch Center for Cancer Care. The APP will provide independent overnight comprehensive care to meet the medical and psychosocial needs of a mixed population of inpatients, implement and evaluate standards of care, and participate in research vital to establish outstanding, evidence-based care. This unit is a dynamic, high-volume unit caring for patients with both hematologic and solid tumor malignancies. Patients admitted for chemotherapy, from clinic, expedited workup or patients that are post interventional radiology or GI procedure care.

Hours- 13.5 hour shifts, 7pm-830am | 12 shifts a month

Primary provider in care of multiple high traffic services including, Lymphoma, Myeloma, Solid Tumor, and Interventional Radiology Patients in an independent capacity Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive care to inpatient oncology patientsEnsure the delivery of quality care to meet our patients medical, surgical, and psychosocial needsQualifications needed for a PA candidate are:
Graduate from an accredited PA program
NCCPA certification and BLS CertificationActive NYS license or be qualified for state licensureMinimum 2 years of inpatient APP experience in Emergency Medicine, Critical Care, Hospital Medicine or Medical Oncology setting- in an independent autonomous roleQualifications needed for an NP candidate are:
Current New York State (NYS) RN and NP licenses/registrationsMaster’s degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)Related National NP certification and BLS certificationMinimum 2 years of Inpatient APP experience in Hospital Medicine or Medical Oncology. Pay Range $136,000- 180,000K
