ResponsibilitiesWe are searching for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our medical hospitalist team- someone who works well in a fast-paced and busy setting. In this position, you will provide medical care to neonates, infants, children, adolescents, and young adults with myriad medical diagnoses and chronic conditions, including independent and interdependent responsibilities in the assessment, diagnosis, initiation of treatment, evaluation of interventions, perform procedures, and evaluation of outcomes. The APP will be involved in education, consultation, research, and evaluation of clinical practice at various levels.#LI-BD1RequirementsRequired Education/Experience:- For NPs: Master's degree in nursing with a concentration in a pediatric or family nurse practitioner program- For NPs in the critical care role: Master's degree in nursing with a concentration in acute care- For NPs in the psychiatric inpatient role: Master's degree as Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner- For PAs: Graduate of a nationally accredited physician assistant programRequired Credentials:For NPs:- Active, unencumbered registered nurse and advanced registered nurse practitioner licensure in the State of Washington- Current national certification as a pediatric or family nurse practitionerFor PAs:- Active, unencumbered physician assistant licensure in the State of Washington- Initial certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician AssistantsFor All Providers:- Active Drug Enforcement Authority registration- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Professionals is required at time of hire and to be maintained continuously throughout employment. American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) will also be accepted in lieu of BLS for Healthcare Professionals.-Some clinical locations may require American Heart Association Pediatric Life Support training and continuous maintenance of certification.- Active clinical privileges as an Allied Health Provider at Seattle Children's Hospital must be secured prior to time of hire and must be maintined in good standing and in compliance with all medical staff bylaws, continuousy thorughout employment.- Any and all medical or allied health professional staff privileges at Children's will terminate automatically upon the termination of the individual's employment at Children's. Termination of employment does not prohibit the individual from seeking medical or allied health professional staff privileges at Children's as a non-employee in any category for which the individual qualifies.
