This role will beresponsible for the admission of patients to the medical teams and toprovide first line jeopardy coverage for medical teams if another APP isnot able to cover. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) works as amember of a multidisciplinary health care team who will contribute toexcellence in program administration, patient care, patient safety,research, quality improvement, and teaching. Areas of responsibility willinclude, but not be limited to providing direct patient care to a broadrange of patients and illness in an inpatient/hospital setting. In thisrole you will: Collaborates with interdisciplinary health care teams indiagnosis and treatment of conditions requiring medical intervention ininpatient environment as a member of the Hospital Service. Writesaccurate and timely progress notes, procedure notes, and/or admissionand transfer orders. Order, perform, and interpret screening anddiagnostic procedures and tests, and appropriately communicates anddocuments information. Privileged to perform procedures beyond core asidentified by the Hospitalist services. Facilitates and communicateswith patient, family, and staff to promote continuity of care across thecontinuum of care. Attend required training and meets key regulatoryrequirements, including those of the privileging institution, CMS, andthe Join Commission. Evaluates quality outcomes for the patientsreceiving care of this team through participation in the development ofquality indicators and outcomes dashboard. Acquires information on themost current development and trends in the Physician Assistant fieldand/or Nurse Practitioner field, through educational programs,in-services, professional associates, and current literature.
