General Profile: The Advanced Packaging Integration Engineer is recognized as an expert in Advanced Packaging and Photonics within the company. The successful candidates anticipates internal and or external business challenges; recommends process, product or service improvements. Solves unique and complex Packaging integrated problems that have a broad impact on the business. Contributes to the development of functional strategy for the Advanced Packaging and Photonics Organization. Leads project teams with focus on process integration to achieve milestones and objectives. Progression to this level is typically restricted on the basis of business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Works with Packaging and Photonic business unit in designing new Test Vehicles for technology development and transfer to customers including customized process development. Plans unit process sequence based on customer requirements. Negotiates process specifications and service offerings with customers. Takes ownership of delivering the required solution to the customers that meets specification.
Takes the lead in positioning new technologies to customers utilizing technical information from division. Interfaces with customers at key development and manufacturing sites to form strategic partnerships to evaluate new and emerging technologies and oversees joint development activities or beta-site testing programs. Makes executive level presentations.
Resolves significantly complex field process issues utilizing systematic troubleshooting methodology generally involving multiple processes. Create a mechanism to communicate issues, track progress and pull resources from multiple BU's and/or functions. Uses sound statistical techniques and problem-solving methodologies like DOEs (Design of Experiment) to quickly determine root cause and action plans. Communicates learnings from this portion to rest-of-world to strengthen the product packages
Keeps abreast of new developments in own and related technology groups. Participates in publishing in ET conferences and journals.
This technical staff position leads and/or develops and executes exceptionally complex technology and engineering projects and leads research and development of new technologies as appropriate. Works on critical complex issues that impact longer term product development and business success measured by one or more of the following: incremental revenue growth, market share increases, key customer penetrations, time to market improvement and commercial value of the work.
Within safety guidelines design, perform, collect data, analyze and compile reports on unusually complex engineering experiments and provides solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious.
Leads and collaborates to contribute to the development of new principles and concepts. Guides less experienced engineers in utilizing techniques to define methods and new technologies and apply them on unusually complex systems. Involved in judging the approach and verifying the validity of technical strategies.

U.S. Salary Range:
$144,000.00 - $198,000.00
The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
