The Electrical Power System Modeling & Controls Advanced Lead Engineer will serve as the prime responsible for the development, maturation, and sustainment of the electrical power system models used for the design, validation, and verification of GE Aerospace's hybrid electric flight demonstrator vehicles. The role reports to the Electrical Systems and Test Manager within the GE Aerospace Advanced Technologies Organization and is essential towards the safe and effective execution of GE's Hybrid Electric flight demonstration programs this decade. GE Aerospace's hybrid electric technology programs are foundational for the realization of the aviation industry's sustainability goals in the first half of the 21st century.

Roles and Responsibilities
As the Electrical Power System Modeling & Controls Advanced Lead Engineer, you will:
Serve as the prime responsible for ownership of electrical power system models across a diversity of modeling platforms and configuration management toolsOwn effective operating rhythms (daily management and technical reviews) for the development and validation of electrical system modelsOwn the technology roadmap for model-based design of electrical power systems and the controls of their constituent conversion componentsDrive continuity between models outside of the electrical system domain to ensure overall system representativeness Directly participate in test definition and test execution efforts to validate modeled systemsLeverage, create, adapt, and maintain standard work to ensure the accessibility and usability of modeling environments for a diversity of stakeholdersUtilize system models to define and formalize system, test, hardware, software, and human integration requirementsDevelop and maintain a strong network with experts across GE Aerospace worksites - Engines, Electrical Power, and ResearchCollaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholdersApply and define GE best practices for model-based developmentPresent results to internal (GE) and external (customer, agency, government, ...) customersCollaborate effectively in a diverse, global, distributed work environment

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an accredited college or universityMinimum of 3 years' experience in the field of electrical power systems
