Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Will be responsible for completing final adoption home study for pre-adoptive family for post TPR children at a high volume
Will use streamlined home study process as outlined in the DCF memo for the permanency initiative pilot program
Work with the team to further streamline the adoption process as the project progresses
Assist family in setting up and completing background screening
Gather and compile documents for child’s disclosure
Will complete full disclosure process with pre-adoptive family
Create solutions for getting families to permanency through adoption quickly and efficiently as possible, while maintaining statutory requirements
Complete the child study
Track timelines for accurate project metrics
Complete project reporting survey weekly
Will participate in court hearings and staffing meetings as requested
Communicate the benefits of adoption

Education Bachelors degree in related field requiredExperience Current Florida State CWCM or CPI certification required
Other Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record with OHU required levels of coverage for auto insurance
Required Skills
Requires ability to travel around the state weekly to meet with multiple families in a short amount of time
Flexibility in a changing model to get the best end result with a pilot program
Excellent written and oral communication, with ability to document in a clear, concise manner
Ability to assess an environment in a shortened amount of time
Highly organized, yet flexible and can handle multiple projects and or priorities well with the ability to manage tight deadlines
Excellent task consolidation and time prioritization necessary
Positive attitude concerning all aspects of working in a challenging environment (including significant patience and respect for children and families who can become frustrated and demanding, at times), sensitivity to cultural needs, and ability to serve as a positive member of a working team
Resourcefulness in researching issues, analyzing information skillfully, solving problems, and developing solutions with minimal supervision in a timely manner
Proficient computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment and adaptive skills to expand software application skills as necessary
Ability to exercise discretion and ensure confidentiality
