Summary
The Program Manager for the NCI Community Cancer Research Program (NCORP) leads efforts to plan, develop, initiate, implement and manage the Bpatist / Mid-South NCORP Mnority / Underserved Consortium program to implement clinical trials in oncology.
Responsibilities
Ensure business, legal, regulatory and scientific standards, expectations and requirements are met, in conjunction with Baptist Cancer Center leadership and staff.
Serves as site NCORP representative.
Coordinates NCORP financial activities with Contract and Budgets Coordinator, Financial Services, and Baptist Clinical Research Institute.
Manages activation of NCI-approved clinical trials and investigator-initiated CCDR studies.
Develops awareness of the new program, plans/coordinates meetings, seminars, and workshops with community partners.
Manages and supervises NCORP staff, including community outreach staff and the NCORP Cancer Care Delivery Research staff in the Baptist system.
Oversees, manages, and develops relationships with teams comprised of Baptist leadership,

Requirements, Preferences and Experience
Education
Preferred: Masters Degree in a health related field (e.g. public health, health care administration, nursing, etc.)
Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Nursing or related field or equivalent experience. Excellent computer skills with word processing, presentation and spread sheet skills, with understanding of database development and management.
Experience
Minimum: Minimum of 3 years experience in an oncology or research setting.
Special Skills
Minimum: Extensive knowledge of health care issues, trends, and regulatory/legal compliance. Understanding of health care and oncology cancer care and health servces research.
Training
Preferred: Emphasis in oncology research preferred.
Minimum: Three years of demonstrated progressive, outcome oriented administrative leadership experience in a health care environment. Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate a collabortive interdisciplinary team approach in development of a full sprectrum of oncology research program.
