  Description

  Save the Children is seeking an Administrator, Gifts-in-Kind (“GIK’) Data & Logistics to execute the administrative operations for our centralized GIK warehouse serving children and families across the country. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating receipt and distribution of goods, conducting inventory counts, completing and maintaining required documentation, and supporting the overall logistics operations of our GIK warehouse.

  Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Impact

  Logistic Support (60%)

  Ensure the warehouse is properly stocked with necessary materials, products, equipment, and supplies.

  Provide guidance and support to team members on warehouse processes and policies, and organize, manage, and maintain documentation in team’s shared folders.

  Coordinate staff training and assist with staff on-boarding and off-boarding, which includes requesting equipment setup and system access.

  Assist in the collection of data and other information as needed for reports, updates, and other requests.

  Facilitate facility cleaning, and other facility upkeep needs.

  Provide support with other tasks as assigned. These may include tasks such as loading and unloading of trucks and preparing outbound shipments.

  May be required to deputize for Warehouse Advisor, with support during short periods of absence.

  Inventory Tracking (40%)

  Record and receive GIK shipments to include coordinating logistics and timing.

  Assist when required with the coordination of distribution allocations and pick-up schedules.

  Document and escalate any issues or receiving errors.

  Communicate to resolve discrepancies and to handle requests with regards to receiving documentation, inventory, status of receiving, etc.

  Required Qualifications

  Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent, plus at least 1 year of relevant experience or education.

  Professional proficiency in MS Office suite.

  Professional proficiency in spoken and written English.

  Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with individuals and teams at all levels, both internally and externally.

  Demonstrated commitment to fostering and maintaining and environment of diversity, inclusion, and belonging.

  Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time with frequent walking; the ability to use both hands and wrists for repetitive motions; the ability to frequently be in low level positions, such as squatting, kneeling, or crouching; the ability to lift and carry items up to 45 lbs.

  Exposure to varying temperatures. Cold weather clothing will be provided during the Winter.

  Compensation

  Save the Children is offering the following salary ranges for this position, dependent on candidate location:

  Geo 1- NY Metro, DC, and other locations with labor costs significantly above national average: Up to $54,000/ year

  Geo 2-Locations around the US National Labor Cost Average: Up to $49,000/ year

  Geo 3-Locations significantly below the US National Labor Cost Average: Up to $44,000/year

  Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location.

Employee may be eligible for an incentive program. Save the Children also offers paid vacation, accrued at least 12 days a year, depending on paygrade and length of service, paid safety and wellness leave of at least 1 day per month worked for a full-time employee which is pro rata reduced for employees working less than a full time schedule, and at least 10 paid holidays a year. Employees may be eligible for additional bonus compensation.
