Job Summary
The overall purpose of this position is to maintain and negotiate license agreements. The incumbent in this position is primarily responsible for the user licensing of all IEEE online package products and ensures that licenses are negotiated effectively and promptly to facilitate the order process and to promote customer satisfaction. The role typically reports to a Manager and manages 0 direct reports. This position works under minimal supervision required and does not have authority. Once trained and deemed proficient in their job, the employee may be eligible to work in a hybrid office/remote structure that includes periodic telecommuting in accordance with IEEE and department practices, and is subject to change at IEEE's sole discretion .
Key Responsibilities
License Agreement Negotiation. Drawing upon their experience in contract negotiations he/she utilizes personal latitude to negotiate license agreement terms with customers to ensure the IEEE’s best interests are preserved and protected. License agreement Maintenance. He/she will examine license agreements upon renewal of all customers to ensure most recent version of license agreement is signed and on file and process requests for all types of amendments for financial and legal compliance. Senior Admin Support: He/She will assist the Manager with special projects such as creating license agreements for any new products, salesforce.com projects. Sales Representative Support. He/she will work closely with the IEEE sales representative to keep them apprised of any important updates or issues during the course of any sensitive negotiations. Dealer Support. Much like IEEE sales representatives, the incumbent will keep in close contact with IEEE dealers regarding the status of important negotiations. Since dealers are not IEEE employees, they may require additional guidance on their role during the negotiations. Database Maintenance and Integrity. He/she is accountable for appending license agreement records to the Department's SFA tool and ensures database accuracy for internal and external sales force. Departmental Administrative Support. As needed, he/she provides departmental administrative support. On those occasions when working remotely, the employee must maintain all quality and productivity standards to maintain hybrid remote eligibility. To that end, employees must sign into IEEE systems promptly at the beginning of their assigned shift, and they must remain in continuous communication with their manager and coworkers throughout the business day via the methods made available to them including personal and group chats, text, email, and/or telephone.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Business Administration or other related field business field Req Work Experience
Prior training in SFA tools (SalesForce.com is a strong plus) Req 2-4 years Relevant experience in a deadline-driven, fast-paced, customer-focused Marketing or license agreement environment. Pref Skills and Requirements
His/her prior experience must demonstrate exceptionally strong attention to detail in combination with a proven ability to follow-through on processes to ensure activity completion and to ensure the best interests of the IEEE are preserved and protected. Ability to gather, analyze, report and benchmark data. He/she must possess the maturity, negotiation skills and business acumen to negotiate license agreement terms and pricing with customers and their legal representatives. He/she must possess a proven ability to analyze, execute and document processes. He/she must have strong quality assurance skills and a proven ability to (a) do work right the first time and (b) implement continuous improvement activities to ensure processes are executed proficiently. He/she must be a technologically savvy knowledge worker who seeks out technology solutions to business challenges. Expert working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Must have demonstrated ability to work with Sales Force Automation (SFA) or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software; experience with SalesForce.com is highly desirable; proficiency in email systems. Must have excellent command of the English language. He/she will interact daily and negotiate license agreement terms with customers. He/she will interact daily in person, by telephone, by e-mail and other electronic means with those staff who initiated the license agreement process. This person needs excellent communications skills and the ability to work with people of varying levels of management and from a variety of cultures. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and staff of all grade levels both in person and via telecon. Must have excellent command of English grammar and syntax. He/she will routinely document processes, write routine correspondence and e-mails, and author license agreement terms. S/he will develop reports and benchmarking data, as well as other documentation that must be communicated clearly and with purpose. Writing must be clear, business oriented and concise, as well as presented in a manner that is easily understood by individuals within the IEEE and by highly educated individuals for whom English may be a second language. These stakeholders will be our customers who may include members of the IEEE Board of Directors and its committees. Must have demonstrated ability to read through license agreement language to understand customer requirements. Also must be able to comprehend customer queries and staff emails to determine proper course of action in response. Interpersonal skills are absolutely essential. Frequent contact via phone and email with non-US business partners (Dealers) and clear writing and communication skills required. Also must have the ability to work with various departments within and outside IEEE to gather information, coordinate events and resolve issues. This individual must be capable of working creatively with discretion and latitude. He/she must be capable of working independently with little direct supervision. Able to work equally effectively in the office as when working remotely (if applicable). Other Requirements:
