  Job Overview

  The Administrative Professional is responsible for supporting generaldepartmental office functions. The Administrative Professional providescustomer service support to patients, families and internal staff.Additional duties may include, but are not limited to, answering androuting telephone inquiries; scheduling patients; copying, scanningand/or filing various documents; performing registration functions; andproviding general information to others.

  Department Name: {Enter the Department Name here}Job Status: Full time, 40 hours per week.Shift: {Monday to Friday from 8am to 4:30pm or 9am to 5:30pm.This position will float between our 3 post op areas. Main PACU, PC PACU andPhase II PACU.

  Qualifications

  EDUCATION - High School Diploma or equivalent.EXPERIENCE - One year of administrative or clerical experience.EQUIVALENCY - A relevant associate or bachelor degree may substitute for therequired experience on a year for year basis.

  Responsibilities

  POPULATION SPECIFIC CARENo direct patient care.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSAn employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of thefollowing essential functions. These examples do not include all of thefunctions which the employee may be expected to perform.Provides general support for administrative functions and processes thatsupport a department and its team members.Arranges and schedules meetings, including conference calls and seminars,for internal team members.Creates and maintains files and filing systems.Provides written and verbal communication support.Performs reception duties utilizing various systems including telephone, faxmachine, mail services, and email and copy services.Performs data entry functions, including patient demographic information andpatient updates in a medical records system.Provides customer service support and assistance to patients, families,physicians and internal team members.Supports patient safety by adhering to all infection control policies andsafety guidelines.Utilizes and remains up-to-date with depar ment office operations andestablished policies and procedures.
