Administrative Lead, Discovery Network
Role Summary
Pfizer's Discovery Network (DN) is a new venture focusing on building external strategy and collaborations for Pfizer drug discovery programs. This is an entrepreneurial group that partners with leading academic medical centers, biotech and disease foundations with the aim of building external alliances that help break new research ground in areas that impact Pfizer's therapeutic pipeline. The DN is a part of the larger Discovery & Early Development organization within Pfizer Research and Development (PRD).
The DN Administrative Lead will have three key areas of accountability: providing administrative support to the scientific and operations leadership in Cambridge, MA; managing the day-to-day administrative activities and partnering with the D&ED administrative and operations teams across different Pfizer locations to deliver seamless support of projects, meetings and collaborative efforts; supporting compliance-related processes and activities to ensure successful completion of deliverables.
Role Responsibilities
Support for the leadership and senior personnel including coordinating meetings and managing calendars, preparing agendas, preparing travel and expenses and ensuring clear cross-functional communication
Work closely and collaboratively with managers and administrative partners in multiple locations to manage team-wide initiatives and business goals, and building collegial working relationships with all Discovery Network team members and matrixed teams across Pfizer
Demonstrate consistent, professional, respectful, pro-active support for the team including attention to detail, comfort with change, evolution and a fluid work environment, and top level skills in information management
Provide administrative/secretarial support and serve as backup administrative/secretarial support for other departments, when necessary
Manage set-up and logistics for large or off-site meetings such as JPM Healthcare, BIO and similar large investment and scientific conferences.
Active management of all assigned projects, implementing innovative alternatives to ensure efficient achievement of desired outcomes
Excellent knowledge of and skills with specific and commonly used Office software (e.g., MS Office, Excel, Power Point, TEAMS etc) and ability to develop expert knowledge of Pfizer specific processes (e.g., T&E, SAP, SharePoint, Kairos and other Pfizer IT platforms, etc.); keep current on all trainings and upgrades
Appropriate discretion in the management of information and manages confidential Pfizer information in a professional manner
Take personal accountability for quality of own work that impacts the department, manages own time, professional development, prioritize workflow
Proactively and independently organize and expedite workflow and initiate follow-up, particularly when leader is offsite.

Qualifications
Required
High School Diploma or GED
Six years+ senior level administrative experience supporting executive leadership in a global organization
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent skills in electronic management of records, planning, time management and follow up
Demonstrated administrative experience with an ability to carry out all office functions proficiently, and to complete quality work in a timely manner
Excellent attention to detail and interpersonal skills
Excellent judgment as well as the ability to work with confidential documents and information
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required, especially PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and other features
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree
Medical, science or pharmaceutical experience

The salary for this position ranges from $31.82 to $53.04 per hour. In addition, this position offers eligibility for overtime, weekend, holiday and other pay premiums depending on the work schedule and the Company's policies.
