Administrative Business Coordinator
BlackRock is recruiting for an Administrative Business Coordinator for Corporate Communications. This position is based in our New York office. The role that we are looking to hire for supports a team of individuals including two Managing Directors.
Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
Handle a broad range of administrative duties as well as ad-hoc projects across the team.
Perform calendar management, including the complex coordination of meetings and video conferences with multiple participants across global time zones.
Provide back- up telephone coverage for team members who support the senior-most leaders at the firm.
Organize and handle logistics for internal and external meetings, our team events, and team off-sites.
Arrange and oversee domestic and international travel (flights, hotels, cars).
Process expense reports using the internal expense system.
Demonstrate ability and willingness to continuously acquire new competencies and accept new challenges.
Aid visitors from other BlackRock offices.
Qualifications and Skills
Minimum five years of corporate administrative experience in role(s) that interfaced with executive management; college degree preferred.
Ability to thrive and work with senior management under highly demanding conditions.
Excellent phone manner and management is a requirement.
Advanced knowledge of MS Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel and proficiency working with automated expense tracking, online travel; Experience using Concur preferred.
Excellent organization skills, detail orientated and time management.
Ability to read, review, prioritize and respond to emails on behalf of senior executives.
Absolute discretion and appropriate handling of highly sensitive and confidential information.
Self-starter with ability to work independently, anticipate needs and make sound decisions with minimal direction.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and concurrent assignments in a demanding environment with high degree of accuracy. Demonstrating follow through on all assignments.
Capability to work in partnership in a team environment and to dedicatedly assist others as needed.
Flexibility to work overtime and be available as needed.
For New York City only: The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $110,000 which is the equivalent of $33.65 - $52.88 per hour. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.

Our hybrid work model
BlackRock's hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all. Employees are currently required to work at least 4 days in the office per week, with the flexibility to work from home 1 day a week. Some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities.
