DESCRIPTION
POSITION SUMMARY:Primary responsibilities of the Operations Support Admin include; providing support to the general operations of the Morris Center Complex, administrative duties, as well as assisting venue management. The Manager of Operations will serve as the Manager on duty for specified events. The Operations Support Admin will exercise discretion and independent judgement in the areas of assigned responsibility.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:This list represents the types of duties required by the position. Other duties may be assigned as reasonably expected.
Provide administrative support, including a variety of routine and complex administrative duties supporting the day-to-day operations of the Morris staff.Serve as the Manger on duty for events as scheduled.Entering Purchase Requisitions into city finance DFO system for Venues Manager approval.Responsible for initiating, composing, reviewing, typing ,editing, tracking, updating, and proofing a variety of correspondence, reports, gift certificate giveaways, operating permits and licenses, memoranda, signs, newsletters, flyers, database lists, and facility/event lease agreements.Create and maintain administrative contract event files and administrative databases.Responsible for event lease tracking.Responsible for the response and handling of customer feedback; either verbally on the phone, by written correspondence, or by email.Assist with the preparations of Morris and Palais Royale budget forms and budget presentation as needed.Maintain office supply inventories including; ticket envelopes, ticket stock, flyers, and other inventory as deemed necessary.Scheduling and conducting tours of the Morris Performing Arts Center.Schedule and escort photo shoots by commercial and non-commercial photographers requesting to take photos as the Morris Center.Assume other related responsibilities as required.NON-ESSENTIAL / MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:Perform related duties such as answering telephone calls, and perform other responsibilities as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
College degree in Communications, Administration, or Business is preferred. Quality training, and a history of outstanding experience may substitute for a college degreeAdministrative experience is a plus.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Ability to communicate with supervisors, peers, or subordinates, providing information by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.Ability to organize, plan, and prioritize work, developing specific goals and plans to accomplish work.Ability to coordinate the work and activities of others Getting members of a group to work together to accomplish tasks.Knowledge of Microsoft Suites.Working knowledge of City or County government a plus.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:Valid drivers license required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:Work is performed in an office setting with moderate inside temperatures. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate while in the office, and moderate to loud in the venue. Entire office and venue is smoke-free.
