Job Title: Administrative Assistant
Job Summary:
The Administrative Assistant is a key role supporting senior level management at USCIS. This position involves a variety of administrative tasks, including preparing reports and documents, conducting research, managing schedules, and assisting with travel arrangements. The role requires a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities Include:
Assisting in the preparation of reports, memos, letters, and other documents using Microsoft Office
Conducting research, compiling data, and preparing papers for consideration and presentation by executives, committees, and boards of directors
Answering telephone calls, directing calls to appropriate parties, or taking messages
Attending meetings to record minutes
Maintaining appointment schedules, planning, and scheduling meetings for Senior Executives and Political Appointees
Greeting visitors and notifying Government officials of arrivals for appointments
Collecting and compiling incoming memos, submissions, reports, and distributing as necessary
Performing general office duties such as copying, setting up conference calls, and scheduling meetings
Filing and retrieving corporate documents, records, and reports
Opening, sorting, and distributing incoming correspondence, including faxes and email
Making travel arrangements for executives or political appointees
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Associate's degree
3+ years of experience as an Executive Administrative Assistant or similar role supporting senior level management
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint
Experience in preparing reports, analyzing data, and suggesting solutions for senior level management
Work Setting and Environment:
Monday - Friday, normal working hours
Work is to be performed onsite at Camp Springs, MD
