Position Summary:
The Actuarial Department at Trupanion is recruiting an actuarial professional with the ability to work well in a dynamic and a complex regulatory environment. The position requires resourceful and creative actuarial capabilities, excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to deliver high quality and timely work products to both internal and external customers.

If you live in the greater Seattle area, this will be a hybrid remote/in-office position that requires you to work from our casual, pet-friendly office 3 days a week.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Product pricing, reserving, and forecastingWork directly with state regulators to manage rate and rule filings to completionFoster effective working relationships with key internal business partners across the organizationBecome an information expert with ability to understand & translate data into meaningful communications
Experience:
3+ months experience preferredPricing/Rate filing experience strongly preferredReserving and Forecasting preferred
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
Ability to develop and apply actuarial models to diverse situationsExperience submitting and managing rate filings and/or regulatory review processAbility to plan, manage, and execute projectsResourcefulness, creativity, and resilienceAbility to work with actuaries from a variety of backgrounds, both P&C and SOAExcel experience is requiredSQL experience is strongly preferredHighly driven and motivated to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Education, Registration & Certification:
Two or more (2+) SOA/CAS exams passed preferred
Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000 on a full-time scheduleAlong with the base salary, Trupanion employees may be eligible for monthly bonuses.We want all employees to be invested in Trupanion's success, so we grant Restricted Stock Units to all new team members. Our new hire grants vest over 4 years.
