Description
There is an Accounts Receivable Clerk job opening for someone who is self-starting and detail oriented. This is a long-term contract Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Souderton, Pennsylvania area. A growing Manufacturing company is partnering with Robert Half to find an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join their accounting team. The Accounts Receivable Clerk will be entering, posting, and reconciling batches, as well as researching and resolving customer accounts receivable issues, preparing aging report, placing billing and collection calls, maintaining cash receipts journal, updating, and reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger. This position is for candidates who are looking for career growth potential, and who are capable of processing 200+ invoices per week.
What you get to do every day
Help resolve payment issues by contacting clients, assist in setting up payment plans
Perform a variety of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks
Square bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in diverse ledgers
Provide information, as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders
Identify delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. skip-tracing, written correspondence, phone contact, and making arrangements for payment
Process payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP
Verify codes and documents
Support, communicate, and reinforce the mission, values and culture of the organization
Requirements
2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable
Microsoft Excel experience required
Proficiency in billing
Accounts Receivable experience
Established analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or related field desired
Current and relevant ERP system experience
Be detailed, flexible, and organized
Dependability in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills in particular
