Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist
Job Description
As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will compute, classify, and record numerical data to maintain complete financial records. Your role will involve a combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records. You will also be responsible for checking the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business transactions. Your scope of work includes operating computers programmed with accounting software to record, store, and analyze information, compliance with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations, and reconciling or noting and reporting discrepancies found in records.
Hard Skills

Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes
Perform financial calculations

Perform standard bookkeeping services
Review expense reports and approve for payment
Classify, record, and summarize numerical and financial data
Debit, credit, and total accounts on computer spreadsheets and databases
Prepare bank deposits
Calculate and prepare checks for utilities, taxes, and other payments
Monitor status of loans and accounts
Calculate, prepare, and issue bills, invoices, account statements, and other financial statements
Prepare trial balances of books
Maintain inventory records
Reconcile price and quantity variances
Create and maintain vendor master files
Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing

Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Miami, Florida.
Work Environment
This position requires you to be in the office for 5 days a week, as it involves manual tasks. You will be a part of a team of 6 other AP Specialists.
