Available for an immediate hire, Robert Half is searching for a skilled, eager, and strong candidate to fill the role of an Accounting Manager for an expanding, influential company. In this role, you will be responsible for leading daily operations, including preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable, and related duties. The ideal candidate should be able to establish and scale company accounting and finance operations. Financial Reporting:
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Team Management:
Supervise and mentor a team of bookkeepers, providing guidance and support to ensure accuracy and efficiency in their tasks.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing training to team members.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets, providing insights and analysis on financial performance.
Collaborate with senior management to create forecasts and financial projections.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections.
Review and approve invoices, expense reports, and other financial transactions.
Financial Analysis:
Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies and areas for improvement.
Provide recommendations to optimize financial processes and enhance profitability.
Audit and Compliance:
Coordinate and facilitate internal and external audits, ensuring all documentation and records are accurate and readily available.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Requirements
Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
Customer service oriented communication skills
Solid understanding of QuickBooks
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience
Reliable technology and analytical abilities
Recent relevant financial experience
Creative problem solver who anticipates risks and opportunities and maintains a vision for continuous improvement
CPA or MBA preferred
