Introduction to the team
The Shared Services Accounting Manager is responsible for managing a team performing functions critical to the success of the firm in Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable and Billing. The position is also responsible for adequately distributing resources to meet the workflow needs and ensuring service standards are met. This individual has experience leading teams, monitoring and delivering workflow service goals, and a track record of delivering uncompromised client service.

Responsibilities :
Manage and develop a team of high performing individuals who handle accounting in a high volume, deadline driven environment. Includes all phases of the employee lifecycle (recruiting, training, goal setting and performance management, etc.)
Analyze workflow distributions and reallocate resources as needed
Monitor performance against service goals and ensure deadlines are met
Resolve accounting transaction escalations from the team; provide guidance to the team
Establish relationships with vendors, managers, the director, and internal customers throughout the firm to influence the accomplishment of organizational goals
Identify best practices and implement improvement ideas to increase efficiency
Interpret and implement business rules and decisions to ensure high quality results are delivered
Execute and contribute to the firm’s accounting strategy
Ensure that policies and procedures are in keeping with best practices
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; emphasis in Accounting, Finance or business-related discipline preferred
Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a complex organization required; including demonstrated involvement leading and building high preforming teams in an inclusive culture; experience in public accounting or professional services environment preferred
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis upon hire. Moss Adams will not consider candidates for this position who require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future (e.g., H-1B status)
Experience coaching and managing others
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to articulate complex issues to all levels
Effective time management and organizational skills, proven ability to prioritize while simultaneously managing numerous projects and processes, often under tight deadlines
Strong executive presence and demonstrated leadership skills, diplomacy, and good judgment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to research, diagnose and communicate complex issues
Experience implementing technology systems preferred
Ability to travel as needed, approximately 5%
