Accounting Specialist for Invoicing
Description
The position reports the Accounting Supervisor. This opportunity requires time management skills, good communication, and basic accounting knowledge. Hands-on approach and problem solving mindset are recommended.
Major Responsibilities
Consistently delivers timely and accurate reports, and information as needed
Daily domestic invoicing
Daily export invoicing
Filing and Recall of invoices as needed
Maintain a good relationship with USDA
Work safely and in compliance with GAAP, JBS policies and procedures, and all applicable laws and regulations
Required Qualifications
A high school degree or GED
Have 2 years of related experience (or schooling) in accounting operations
The ability to apply accounting theory to real-world practical situations
Good Microsoft Excel Skills
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience with advanced ERP systems preferred; SAP/ECS/OM preferred
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to internal control
Detailed Duties
Update sales orders and run invoicing batches in Order Management and ECS
Research any errors and clear them so that orders invoice on time
Work with sales and billing departments to clear errors
Partner with freezer Accounting Specialist to ensure transfer orders are invoiced on time
Prepare 1 st and 2 nd draft export packet
Work with the USDA to complete export process
Keep a log for exports and send copies of the orders to the distribution list
Maintain orderly filing and boxing routine
Recover orders for audits and information as needed
Remain in compliance with SOX requirements

Compensation
This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and other benefits
Base rate: $22.75/hour
