GENERAL SUMMARY
To perform financial functions required to maintain the integrity of the financial unit of the Friend of the Court. This includes monitoring cases, managing the various account holds on the MiCSES system, testifying in court regarding the financial information on cases, issuing refunds, and managing tax intercepts. This position assists in the supervision of the financial unit of the Friend of the Court.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor over 14,000 cases for court orders, emancipations, administrative changes, and changes in custody, including negligence or delinquency.```{=html}
```- Serve as a representative for the Friend of the Court concerning account records, arrears, and enforcement of orders.

```- Assist the Financial Systems Supervisor with the management of the financial unit.

```- Manage MiCSES tax intercept suspense/hold accounts. Respond to client questions regarding accounting and tax refund interception over the telephone and in person.

```- Monitor and proactively refund the overpayment to payers.

```- Effectively respond to and resolve complaints about payments, payment distribution, and suspense.

```- Monitor, analyze, and process different suspense holds within MiCSES.

```- Manage credits to ensure the credit is used towards monthly obligations.
```{=html}
```- Monitor the collection and disbursement of payments.

```- During absences, act in the capacity of the Finance Systems Supervisor.
