The Collins Aerospace Applied Research & Technology (ART) organization seeks a candidate to join their finance organization. This role reports directly into the Ireland site (~$12M in annual Revenue) with an indirect reporting line into the Collins Central finance organization. The candidate will be the primary focal for all matters related to Controls and Compliance at the site to ensure adherence to RTX policies. The candidate should be detail oriented, a self starter, and demonstrate a strong mix of finance and accounting acumen. We are looking for an individual who will challenge the teams, and the status quo and who will work to find a way - the right way - to achieve an efficient yet compliant work site.Primary responsibilities:
Ensure strong control environment by helping evaluate and improve financial and operational control and governance over inter-entity work and EU Grants leveraging best practices. Deployment of annual controls plan and assessment plansExecution of annual Sarbanes-Oxley programTraining and communications on control mattersInitiate Quarterly management representation letterPro-active identification and management of reportable and non-reportable controls issuesPrepare and lead Accounting and Controls Assessments (ACA) with Collins Controls teamAssist in month end activities including Account Reconciliations and HFM PromotionsCompiles inputs, analyzes, and facilitates Quarterly Accounting Reviews (QAR's)Work closely with Technical Accounting and Tax team to ensure proper accounting treatmentsPartner across RTX to evaluate best practices and opportunities for utilizing shared servicesEngage PwC external audit team on matter of internal controls and technical accounting as requiredAd hoc reporting/financial analysis as requested by managementQualifications/Experience Needed:
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree aprofessional qualifications of ACCA, CIMA or CPA are desiredPreferred Qualifications:
