Extol of Ohio, located in Norwalk, is looking for an Accounting Clerk to play a critical role in our accounting department. The successful candidate will provide financial, administrative, and clerical services with a strong attention to detail. Must possess strong analytical and organizational skills and be able to communicate well across all levels.
Responsibilities
Assist with setting up new customers.Process invoicing daily.Apply cash daily and reconcile to the accounts receivable ledger.Verify and resolve any payment discrepancies.Responsible for past due account follow-up and collectionsProcess credit card payments and apply to customer invoice.Perform adjustments as needed.Prepare and review monthly AR aging reports.Assist with month end closing process for accounts receivable.Match, verify and record invoices to shipping documents and purchase orders.Generate weekly check run.Prepare ad-hoc reports.Assist with other projects as needed.Skills
Proven working experience as accounts receivable clerk.Solid understanding of basic accounting principlesProven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.Data entry skillsWell versed in Microsoft Office, Intermediate Excel and Word skills preferred.Customer service orientation and negotiation skillsHigh degree of accuracy and attention to detailQualifications
