Accounting Associate Job Description
The Accounting Associate is a non-exempt position is based out of the Trust Tech, LLC office located at 213 S. State Rd. 49, Valparaiso, IN. Work hours of 40-45 hours per week are expected and normal and are generally Monday through Friday with potential for some work to be done outside of normal business hours depending in order to meet client's needs & deadlines. To accurately and timely report accounting data. To safeguard company assets. To cross-train functional areas of accounting.
The role requires a high attention to detail along with excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to resolve complex issues, and a desire to continually learn new business technologies and practices.
Job Responsibilities
· Serves as Product Brand Advocate
· Adheres to company approved accounting procedures
· Safeguards all assets
· Utilizes various computer programs to efficiently process invoices, taxes, etc.
· Performs daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reconciliation of data and accounts
· Posts and records check and credit card receipts
· Reconciles incoming receipts against credit card charges
· Responsible for posting AP billing
· Other related duties as assigned
Required Skills & Experience
· Strong Microsoft Excel experience
· Sage Intacct experience a plus
· Experience with accounting systems experience is required
· Experience posting GL (General Ledger) entries
· Working knowledge of GAAP and accrual basis accounting
· Inclination for strategic mindset and problem analysis at all functional levels

Required Education
· High School Diploma (Required)
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent accounting experience
