The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for all tasks and duties pertaining to managing accounts receivables
and payables associated with Flying HIGH Inc's fiscal department.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create purchase orders for all invoices.Assign/track purchase order numbersContact vendors for discrepancies such as removable of tax, duplicate or missing invoices.Codes and allocates expenses.Enter invoices into Quick Books/Account SoftwareReview bills for payment and review with the Fiscal ManagerMaintain Excel spreadsheet of expenses for associated programs and invoicing.Enter credit card charges as received, reconcile to credit card statement upon receipt and assure that all receipts have been submitted.Process support service requests from case managers and respond in a timely manner.Process supply requests from staff and respond in a timely manner.Maintain receipts for payments made on behalf of clients.In coordination with the Finance Manager, provide reports as requested.Complete other reasonably related duties assigned by the Finance Manager or Executive Director.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and/or Experience -- High School Diploma or equivalent with previous bookkeeping experience and management of record keeping systems. Associate degree in accounting preferable.Language Skills - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and client documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from consumers, agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to interact clearly and effectively, in both written and oral communication, with supervisor, consumers, staff, and other stakeholders.Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, Excel spreadsheets, graphics. Other Qualifications -- Excellent mathematical skills required. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
