Description
If you have a background in accounting and are searching for a role with a highly respected publicly traded company company, Robert Half may have the Senior Accountant position for you. You will be responsible for preparing and consolidating financial statements, analyzing and reconciling accounts, analyzing cash flow, creating budgets and forecasts, preparing audits, and managing internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Strong analytical skills and an aptitude for working in fast-paced environments are musts. Located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, this Senior Accountant role is with a publicly traded company company. What you get to do every day
Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls; while also providing support on special requests when required
Continuously analyze current automation of the accounting and reporting process and present improvement suggestions
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Prepare financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.
Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Produce monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management purposes
Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external
Requirements - Extraordinary analytical, quantitative and social skills
Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
Able to manage time well
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company
Tax accounting experience
Expertise in CPA
Proficiency in Full Cycle Accounting
Foundational knowledge in Microsoft Excel
Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems experience a plus
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
2+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Experience in SOX control execution/documentation
Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Efficient in ERP systems
Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
