The Role:
We are looking for an Accountant to join our Accounting Team to support day to day operations and month end close procedures.
This role will play an integral part in the accounting close process with opportunities to work on various projects in the future as we scale. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently but also part of a collaborative, international accounting team. This position will report to the Accounting Manager within the Accounting Organization.
What you'll be doing:
Responsible for on-going global operations and month-end close task for all entities in US, Canada, Australia and EMEA entities Responsible for AP process and global payment runs Ownership of employee expense reimbursement system and approvals Ongoing journal entry preparation Own GL related month-end close tasks (specifically with cash, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accruals) Preparing reconciliations, schedules, and analyses Assist with global financial analytical review detailing key changes Optimizing systems and procedures as we grow to improve processes Participate in quarterly, year-end audit and tax preparations Performing ad hoc analyses and projects as needed
What we're looking for:
3+ years of corporate accounting or public accounting experience Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance Progression towards CPA certification Proficiency with NetSuite or comparable accounting system Previous work experience with Concur or other expense report system Competent with Excel and other MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) Experience with Tipalti or other procurement system Strong attention to detail and ability to research discrepancies to solve problems Proven ability for clear and effective written / verbal communication Ability to work independently, maintain tight deadlines, solve problems proactively Availability and flexibility to work West Coast hours (PST) few times a month
