JOB REQUIREMENTS: SUMMARY In this specific role, the Area Sales Manager(ASM) will drive revenue and sales funnel growth with direct customerswithin their assigned territory for Kollmorgen products. The ASM willassume some established customers and be responsible developingopportunities at new direct customers and new opportunities withinexisting customers. The ASM will work to foster relationships, documentopportunities and work with their team to propose and present technicalsolutions for customers\' applications. This role is home-based with30-50% travel within the territory.Valid U.S. driver\'s licenserequired. This role will service the Central region of the United Statesmainly in IL, WI and MI. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Alongwith those identified below, other duties may be assigned. Generaterevenue and sales funnel growth consistent with company goals. Developand execute a growth plan for the territory through prospecting, newaccount acquisition and development, as well as current accountcommercial support. Responsible for close collaboration with customersand internal teams to identify customer needs and develop theappropriate Kollmorgen solution to satisfy those needs. Develop,present, and negotiate pricing proposals with customers usingvalue-selling methods. Provide sales and marketing support tocustomers - being and advocate for the company and the customer. Assistin defining and implementing sales and marketing plans with ProductManagement team to support long term sales growth objectives and capturenew customers. Coordinate, schedule and execute activities (training,technical support needs, audits, etc.) in the assigned territory inpartnership with cross-functional team members as needed. Assists indeveloping standard policies and procedures to support RBS methods andmetrics. Critical Competencies Ability to read, analyze, and interpretgeneral business periodicals, professional journals, technicalprocedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to develop strategicbusiness plans, tactical action plans and drive to achieve mutualobjectives and goals. Ability to write reports, business correspondence,and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information andrespond to questions from groups of managers, co-workers, clients, andcustomers. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts,interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to solvepractical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables insituations where only limited standardization exists. Work within a CRMto document accounts, contacts, and opportunity development. Proficiencyin Microsoft Office products.
