Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Account Management Teams are responsible for selling TE's products, systems or services, providing detailed technical product information and maintaining relationships with customers in assigned geographic territory, industry or accounts.
What your background should look like:
The Account Manager will be responsible for selling the products and solutions of BU Aerospace Defense & Marine in assigned sales territory. Candidates must have an established track record of delivering a high-level of sales performance and of ensuring customer satisfaction to customers. The desired candidate will also have strong communication skills, priority management, hands-on sales operations experience, and ability to work autonomously.
The Account Manager will be responsible for meeting the yearly bookings and sales targets for assigned accounts or applicable market segment. This position is located in Shanghai and requires customer interaction at multiple disciplines and levels, as well as coordination & interaction at multiple levels with internal stakeholders in BU HQ & Asia. The incumbent will also be responsible for providing timely forecasts of business capture, sales and orders booking, status of pursuits and proposals, influencing / understanding the RFP requirements, the competition, and providing a win strategy with a recommended Price to Win.
Approximately 25%-50% travel would be required. The position will report locally to the China Sales Leader of BU AD&M.
Key Responsibilities include:
• Develop sales strategies for the assigned accounts or applicable market segment, and identify, build, and expand sales opportunities for the company's products strengthening our current market position.
• Effectively represent the company to its customers, develop relationships with customers, sales channels, third party Sales Representatives and governmental agencies, support trade shows as required, and communicate with a range of management personnel including across all customers functional departments.
• Demonstrate technical aptitude and knowledge of TE products & market requirements and provide the expertise to sell in diverse markets.
• Accurately forecast customer orders and deliveries to support the company's manufacturing and financial planning. Assume responsibility for achieving the forecasted Orders and Sales objectives.
• Able to generate, maintain, and present sales management artifacts and tools such as strategic sales plans, account plans, sales funnels, capture plans and order forecasts.
• Be responsible for CSR and sales operations, including hands-on customer orders processing, and follow up status to ensure on time delivery, closely communicate with customers, coordinate with internal teams to fulfill customer demand, and demonstrate proactive customer service to improve ECE
• Ensure adherence to TE contractual policies & procedures, and compliance & ethics policies.
Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor's degree in business with strong engineering acumen or Bachelor's degree in Engineering with strong business acumen
• BA/BS in Business Administration, Marketing or Engineering
• Complete knowledge of sales and marketing principles and concepts, with additional knowledge of airframe technology as well as domestic and international customer business environments
• Skill in negotiations and customer relationship building skills are critical
• Hands-on behavior required
• Personal integrity, professionalism, goal-oriented, results-driven self-starter
