It's an exciting time to join Baker Tilly! We are looking for an Account Manager to join our Business Management Team! Baker Tilly is currently seeking an Account Manager in our Los Angeles office. Candidates should have experience working with high-profile entertainment-oriented clients
Responsibilities include:
Process incoming mail and pay all client bills and keep track of payment due datesEnter, code and reconcile client bank and credit card statementsProcess and track cash receipts, commission schedules Experience with touring musicians, including but not limited to tour reconciliations, budget to actual analysis, submission of tour support requirements (if any), settlement reconciliations, merch, and logistics supportUnderstanding of music publishing and royaltiesComfortable communicating with music managers, agents, and attorneys Familiarity with tax implications of touring musicians and compliancePrepare financial reports including monthly cash flows, Balance sheet and P&L for review and annual filing, including 1099sPrepare meeting packages for clientsProcess and enter payroll to general ledgerAssist with securing client insurance and monitoring renewals/claimsUpload documents for Medical Insurance processingPrepare messenger/Fed Ex packages, correspond with Vendors, reconcile Year End tax documents to books, research client requests as neededStay current with updates and improvements on applicable technology platforms and obtain certification as directed by supervisorMeet client service expectations through adhering to quality and timely client deliverables, and meeting time budget expectationsBegin to establish and build deeper team and client (internal/external) relationships and facilitate and maintain positive and proactive communicationsBegin to review client data and information to see where the client could benefit from additional/different technologies and/or services.Answer general accounting and software questions and begin to help Sr. Manager, Partner by taking on more complicated accounting work, escalating as neededMaintain and expand knowledge base of accounting principles and practicesAssist associates/new hires with learning with learning processes and procedures related to client deliverables and/or accounting mattersPrepare and review client statements and reports for next level review, including those with more complexity (ie. multiple entities, unique reporting requirements, etc.)Provide consistent project communication and status updates to supervisorsEffectively delegate and communicate tasks and instructions effectivelyAd hoc projects
Qualifications
Associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is highly favored4 plus years of experience in accounting and bookkeeping for high-profile entertainment-oriented clientsPrior experience in a senior role
Skills:
Ability to pay attention to details, follow directions/procedures, communicate effectively, and work in a team environmentThorough understanding of the general ledger, AP/AR, insurance, payroll, bank reconciliations, and financial statementsSelf-motivated and demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervisionExperience with AgilLink is highly preferredAdvanced computer skills i.e., excel, outlook, accounting software, and databasesPractices efficient time management with a proven ability to consistently meet deadlines
Additional Information
For California, Colorado, New York and Washington: The compensation range for this role is $78,840 to $167,130. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
