The Siemens EDA Global Sales team is seeking a dynamic account manager to grow our business across multiple existing and new accounts in Silicon Valley. This individual will establish and cultivate strong customer relationships proliferating Siemens EDA software, services, and hardware sales to meet revenue targets. Successful account managers are adept at building and expanding existing business within high-profile customers and have a passion for creating new business opportunities; they maximize business relationships through collaboration, capitalizing on the global network to realize corporate objectives.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Deliver on quarterly and annual numbers while maintaining focus on competitive, customer, and technology landscapes to form a strategic near- and long-term outlook
Identify and build strong relationships with key customers, executives, and decision-makers and uncover customer desired objectives or needs
Formulate a vision, direction, and strategy to build and motivate a cohesive sales team, deliver customer solutions, and increase revenue
Create negotiation plans; negotiate and close contracts, working closely with sales management, finance, legal, and the customer
Facilitate effective collaboration with field technical teams and customers to drive technology adoption and proliferation; collaborate with field technical teams and R&D to align future solutions with customer roadmaps
Build a pipeline of opportunities for both short, medium, and long term success
Collaborate with early-career sales colleagues to grow new business, providing mentorship and coaching, as needed
Qualifications
You have at least ten years of experience in the EDA or IC design space, including at least five years in customer-facing roles and a proven track record of successfully selling complex EDA technical solutions
You are a strong internal partnership-builder; you have the ability to engage cross-functional teams and proven success in motivating a worldwide team
You exercise excellent business judgment and have demonstrated success delivering results that are optimized at the company level (balanced between company and customer), then team, then yourself
You have the ability to handle competing priorities with an ability to address and solve problems in a timely manner
You possess outstanding oral and written communication and presentation skills to all organizational levels, including executive, C-Level leadership
You are excited by the opportunity to mentor and develop early-career colleagues
You have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience

The total cash compensation range for this position is $185,700 to $371,400 with 40% of this being comprised of an annual incentive target. If you reside in the Bay Area total cash compensation range for this position is $205,800 to $391,200 with 40% of this being comprised of an annual incentive target. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
