The Siemens EDA Global Sales team is seeking a dynamic emerging sales professional to grow our pipeline of new business in Silicon Valley. This is a unique role focused heavily on prospecting and lead generation coupled with the opportunity to partner directly with senior account managers and directors within the territory. Our account managers are adept at building and expanding existing business with current customers and have a passion for creating new business opportunities; they maximize business relationships through collaboration, capitalizing on the global network to realize corporate objectives.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Prospect and identify new business opportunities
Attend conferences and industry events to identify new customers
Generate new business opportunities through tracking venture funding
Deliver on quarterly and annual numbers while maintaining focus on competition, customer, and technology landscapes to form a strategic near- and long-term outlook
Identify and build strong relationships with key customers, executives, and decision-makers and uncover customer desired objectives or needs
Partner with senior account managers and directors on the vision, direction, and strategy for delivering customer solutions and increasing revenue
Partner with senior account managers and directors on negotiation plans, working closely with sales management, finance, legal, and the customer
Support effective collaboration with field technical teams and customers to drive technology adoption and proliferation
Qualifications
You have at least five years of experience in the EDA or IC design space, including 2-5 years in customer-facing roles
You have a strong understanding of EDA solutions and the ability to articulate these solutions to a variety of stakeholders
You possess outstanding oral and written communication and presentation skills to all organizational levels, including executive, C-Level leadership
You are adaptable and resilient the face of challenges and experience handling competing priorities with an ability to address and solve problems in a timely manner
You have demonstrated success prospecting for new sales opportunities and moving those opportunities from identification to business closure
You have demonstrated a commitment and ability to deliver results that are optimized at the company level (balanced between company and customer), then team, themselves
You have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience

The total cash compensation range for this position is $101,700 to $203,400 with 40% of this being comprised of an annual incentive target. If you live in the Bay Area the total cash compensation range for this position is $117,700 to $223,700 with 40% of this being comprised of an annual incentive target. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
