Job Summary:
Equipped with knowledge of clinical and research applied genetics and genomics is required.Preferred 3+ years or equivalent of proven life science capital sales experience.Experience in a capital sales strategic selling environment.Team up with other Thermo Fisher Scientific business units to support lead generation programs that drive production sales.Highly adaptable and independent.Strong desire to win business and establish long-term customer relationships.Identify and grow opportunities within territory and collaborate with sales teams to ensure growth attainment through positive planning, deployment and management of sales opportunities.Maintaining all accounts/contacts details within ThermoFisher Scientific's CRM database. Apply same to optimally monitor and direct customer purchasing activities.Enter accurate and complete customer data and sales information into the company sales database (SFDC CRM system) to drive potential sale growth in given sale territories.Key Account Planning - Conduct analysis of industry trends and customer applications to assess the potential demands that clients may have within NGS industry. Develop short / medium and long term strategies that result in improving the opportunities to increase the sales pipeline.
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master degree in Life Sciences, Genomic or equivalent (Phd's degree preferred)Proven track records with at 3+ years of experience in Life Science sales or a related area specifically in account management role.Careful maintenance of customer and project data in the CRM system, as well as preparation of accurate forecast.Demonstrate role and relevance of Ion Torrent's product portfolio and provide consultation to customers on same.Demonstrate command of scientific knowledge to engage in collaborative sales process.The ability to discuss and support product and application requirements across the bioprocessing workflow and engage technical specialists early and often to show the Thermo Fisher capabilities in providing our customers with the best outcomes.Engage in accurate forecasting and sales pipeline management activities.Effectively prospect and generate new customer leads.Lead existing and continuously work to expand customer base.Develop and maintain strong customer connections at various levels in the organization.Knowing the principal of NGS application, or with the experience on technical specialist in NGS highly preferred.English proficiency should be proficient in speaking and writing for daily reporting and customer engagement.
