The successful candidate will work with the commercial, marketing, internal support and technical teams, to achieve financial goals. Position Summary:
This is a target-based sales role within a specified territory whereby you will be responsible for the assigned local accounts within the life sciences segments promoting the Bioscience Division's value proposition to customers, advancing customers' research and development. This role requires extensive travel to the assigned territories within Singapore.
Key Responsibilities:
Consistently achieve or exceed assigned sales target on quarterly and yearly basis, within assigned expense guidelines and territories.Timely submission of forecasts, weekly updates, monthly highlights and other related reports for defined territory to Team Lead.Ability to use sales tools, organize and accurately forecast territory results, provide market intelligence, implement value selling and meet sales objectives.Maintain accurate and current records of proposals, opportunities, accounts, contacts, leads and actions. Use SalesForce Dot Com (SFDC) CRM as the primary reporting tool.Sell new products by establishing key customer relationships and understanding customer application needs.KOL (Key Opinion Leader) customer management.Regular and proactive updating of management on any new developments in the marketplace, for example: competitor behaviors, product issues, customer changes, wins or potential misses.Communicate with team members at all organizational levels and functional areas, using Strategic Selling techniques within the assigned account which influence purchasing decisions.Prospect and establish new opportunities by managing a sales pipeline and developing and delivering proposals to customers by illustrating Thermo Fisher's value propositionRegularly visit customers and ensure high level of support for their continued businessBuild and sustain relationships with customers and ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.Leverage available resources to effectively implement company marketing plan, strategies and sales processes.Share standard processes and effective business strategies with team, management and peers.Strong interpersonal, planning, organizational, problem solving, sense of urgency and decision making skillsWork closely with technical support team to schedule demo, user training, troubleshoot technical product issues, provide product demonstrations and respond to tender specification.Provide product demonstration to customer on basic benchtop equipmentCoordinate with customer service team to ensure timely order fulfillment and resolve any issues related to delivery or invoicing.Be an advocate for Thermo Fisher Scientific and our 4i's. Take all opportunities for cross selling and business development opportunities for other divisions
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Good knowledge of the Life Science market in Singapore through work experience and field of studyBachelor of Life Science, Biomedical Science, Biochemistry or related field with understanding of Life Science lab workflows3+ years of working experience within the Life Science industry, commercial experience is a must with knowledge to handle end to end sales for a similar portfolioGood network with PI and peers in this fieldAbility to identify new target accounts and be able to develop and implement territory plans.Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.Demonstrate Thermo Fisher Scientific values - Integrity, Intensity, Innovation and Involvement.Commercially aware, highly motivated and target driven.Customer orientated and able to drive activities that improve customer satisfaction.Organized, able to work independently and in teams in a highly matrix organizationsHighly driven with the ability to perform under stress and adhere to strict timelinesA go getter, who sees challenges as opportunity to grow, develop and provide solutionsComputer literate with skills in Microsoft Office; Excel, Word and PowerPoint.Well versed with Government procurement mechanisms like ITQ/TendersExperience in SFDC CRM will be a plus.Familiar with digital marketing platforms and other e-commerce platforms eg. Ariba will be an added advantage
