We are currently searching for a dynamic,Account Manager – New Robots.The Account Manager will be responsible for account management, direct sales coverage, and system house responsibility for identified Korean customers manufacturing segments, which could include, but is not limited to, body shop, general assembly, metal fabrication, battery and stamping operations.
This position is expected to build key customer relationships and have an in-depth knowledge of the customer and industry to support sales in these areas of the plants and at the corporate level, all with a focus on supporting continued growth in robotic automation and customer satisfaction.
The Account Manager will report to the Director of Sales to strategically manage customer needs and key initiatives to increase annual sales volume.
Primary responsibilities will include:
Manage all activities and selling efforts to plants and engineering offices to meet or exceed yearly established targets in units, revenue, and gross profit, while exceeding customer expectations.
Develop strong relationships with key customer personnel at all levels of plant, engineering, purchasing, and executive management within accounts and establish FANUC America as a sustaining resource.
Work closely with Program Manager to determine the best solution(s) in terms of product offerings as well as effectively manage open issues and engineering development discussions; additionally, to support application development activities along with customer demonstrations of new technologies and applications.
Develop detailed proposal strategy and present to FANUC America leadership; once approved, effectively communicate the proposal strategy to the supporting FANUC team members.
Interface and coordinate with all areas of FANUC America to assure the content of the proposal responses address the complete scope of work from customer.
Provide input on pricing direction, and review proposal responses and pricing prior to submittal.
Support the customer review and negotiation aspects of the final proposal for a clear and thorough proposal that results in a successful negotiation.
Interface with FANUC America resources and the customer on sold projects to assure complete understanding of deliverables including:
Participating in kickoff and status meetings as required to assure smooth project execution and complete customer satisfaction.
Assisting with purchase order amendments, pricing and quotations as required.
Solicit customer input on product operation and new requirements to provide direction on product improvements and new products to increase FANUC’s competitive advantages and market share, while increasing customer satisfaction.
Make predictions on market directions for key product needs to increase FANUC’s position as the market leader in robotics.
Act as main interface for customer to assist with issues such as robot delivery information, spare parts quotes/delivery, service issues, product problems, etc.
Support the customer’s system integration partners on robot applications for conformance to product specifications and capabilities. Involve FANUC support organizations as required.
Grow FANUC America’s position within identified customer as a viable robotic automation solution provided and turn-key system provider for robot intensive advanced automation solutions.
Organize, schedule, and prepare product presentations/demonstrations for customers with support from engineering and/or marketing as required.
Local, regional, and international travel required to support visits to customer locations and internal meetings as necessary.
Ideal candidate will have the following experience/skills and education:
High School Diploma or GED Required
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical or Electrical), Business Administration or related field or equivalent relevant experience
Korean language expertise
Minimum 10 years project execution, automation applications, selling experience and/or selling support experience in capital equipment, and automotive body shop and fabricating environment preferred
Demonstrated ability to identify and define customer problems or needs, define plans to address those problems or needs, and successfully manage the execution of the sales strategy to successfully secure the business and satisfy the customer.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities and capacity for developing and maintaining positive customer relationships at multiple levels (technically and commercially.
