C.H. Robinson is seeking an Account Manager to be the primary driver of growth and retention for a dedicated customer portfolio.In this role, you'll be responsible for generating demand, uncovering opportunities for expansion, and developing inventive solutions that cater to customer needs. This role offers the flexibility of a second-shift schedule, allowing you to select between shifts from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm or 1:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of this position consist of, but are not limited to, the following:
Build credible and personalized relationships at multiple levels across functional departments within customer supply chainsCollaborate with operations and capacity/product/supply teams for optimal customer execution while managing conflicts, and driving continuous improvement Partner with our network's Subject Matter Experts to develop solutions for potential opportunities in product, mode, or service linesExpand market share by managing an active opportunity pipeline and CRM qualification processConduct regular business reviews to uncover new sales opportunities and maintain customer growthStay informed of changes within customers' businesses and industries, identifying fresh opportunities for collaborationShare customer-specific data insights with internal resources to develop effective supply chain solutionsEmploy effective negotiation and sales strategies during pricing discussions with customersExecute successful account strategies, understanding customer buying habits and CHRs position within their supply chainProactively manage customer pricing strategies using internal tech tools and expertisePursue personal development to expand understanding of CHRs modes, services, and technology
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
High School diploma or GED Minimum 2 years of previous sales and/or account management experience Ability to travel up to 25% (domestically and internationally)
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to make data-driven decisions Strong strategic orientation, relationship building, negotiation skills (ability to persuade, motivate and influence others), and business acumen Ability to thrive under deadlines and work in a team environment, while also delivering independent results Strong prioritization skills, multi-tasking skills, and works with a sense of urgency Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must work effectively with all levels of management and employees Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs Values a diverse and inclusive work environment Minimum one year at CHR
