As an Account Manager supporting US Vision Care, you will be trusted to understand Eye Care Practitioner (ECP) needs and effectively sell Alcon's portfolio of Vision Care products to practices in Southeast Houston, TX and surrounding area market. Focus areas for this role include selling Alcon's line of contact lenses, over the counter (OTC) contact lens care products, as well as dry eye and allergy products. Also, increase sales and generate profit obtaining annual corporate and territory financial objectives by selling Alcon's vision care portfolio of products, promoting Alcon Services, offering approved price discounts through in-market promotions, and by consulting with Eye Care Practitioners to improve the profitability of their practices.
In this role, a typical day will include: Align with customers using a need-based selling approach to match Alcon products and services to identify doctor and patient needs. Provide product and technical consultation to doctors on the appropriate use of Alcon products. Create and execute a strategic plan and routing schedule for the territory to capitalize on revenue from the highest potential customers. Plan and execute pre-booked calls daily. Grow sales by shifting customer behaviors to dispense Alcon priority products as their core/first-choice product line - take orders for dispensing inventories. Execute marketing activities and promotions in order to maximize sales. Participate in District/Regional/National meetings as schedule. Manage and prioritize time in order to most effectively achieve business results. Selection of most appropriate products and services for targeted accounts based on company priorities. Co-op advertising spending calculations and spending decisions with customers for marketing programs. Follow all Alcon company policies regarding promotional spending, returns/exchanges, and promotional guidelines. Participate in and network with customers at conventions, educational events, etc. as required. Schedule and execute in-office and out of office promotional trainings and meetings. Administrative responsibilities: including completion of expense reports, email/voicemail communications, call reporting, event planning and strategic planning.
