  The Account Associate has a passion for jewelry, watches, handbags,books, sneakers and/or streetwear.

  The Account Associate role assists our clientele with the sale of their property through Sotheby’s Buy Now Marketplace, private sales channels, and Salons. Potential clients include private sellers and dealers across categories and countries.

  Account Associates will work closely with Account Managers, and the European Category Management and operations teams, aiding in the processing of incoming inquiries, providing client support with the entire consignment process, managing items through the pipeline, helping with sales and supporting with any ad hoc initiatives, sales and pop ups.

  RESPONSIBILITIES 

  Work with Account Managers, registrars and operations teams in receiving, processing and cataloging products for sale on the Marketplace.  Manage consignment agreements, contracts and property schedules; coordinate post sale activities; and help manage the photography process. Maintain status reports for all consignments, communicating these regularly to all internal and external stakeholders. Maintain the highest standard of customer service, efficiently processing products for sale in order to meet monthly inventory goals. Develop and maintain relationships with sellers. Aid in ad hoc events, projects, pop ups, and retail initiatives. Support in marketing initiatives   IDEAL EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES 

  1+ years industry experience required in any specific business units: Handbags, Jewelry, Sneakers & Streetwear and/or Watches. Entrepreneurial spirit coupled with a high level of self-motivation. A high degree of business acumen, sophistication, and the ability to build rapport with a variety of personalities. Ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, great degree of organization and attention to detail. Ability to master multiple technical devices and systems and data entry skills.
