As a Supervisor, you will provide leadership to employees and support the plant's continuous improvement processes by analyzing challenges and facilitating solutions. Effective communication skills to promote teamwork and drive excellent employee relations is a must. As the Supervisor you will direct and coordinate the workforce to meet production schedules and achieve safety excellence as well as quality, delivery, inventory, productivity, and team objectives.
Responsibilities
Promote and drive a culture of safety and quality excellence within the assigned team.Lead our insourcing production efforts to grow our Parts making business in support of Sister Plants' demand.Work with the Insourcing Project Team to deal with ISIR's. Drives consistency to production processes and collaborates with engineers to insure tooling design and utilization is ready for production of high quality parts.Work ahead to make sure planning for next release is completed in accordance with customer demand.Need to anticipate Sister Plant in accordance with a Customer First focus.Analyze customer feedback on quality to address any gaps prior to future re-orders.Support and use lean manufacturing tools and methodologies to assist with Margin Improvement initiatives and other strategic business objectives.Train/develop, coach, and hold accountable assigned team members to resolve work issues and optimize departmental efficiency, effectiveness and balanced work flow.Reinforce the Code of Conduct and model appropriate leadership behaviorsAssign work and special projects to employees to develop employee skills and enhance flexibility.Lead projects and prepare resultant reports that have significant influence and assist with driving sound business decisions.Develop and administer operating budget and supervise results to assure department objectives.Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
The qualified candidate will have:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Business or technical field plus one year of manufacturing experience. ORAssociates' degree or equivalent experience in a technical field plus three (3) or more years of manufacturing experience ORHigh School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience plus five (5) or more years of manufacturing experienceThe ideal candidate will have:Ability to work as part of a project teamMust be able to adapt to changing priorities and assignmentsStrong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.Demonstrated analytical and problem -solving capabilities.Ability to anticipate customer needs2+ years of supervisory/ leadership experience in a manufacturing environmentDemonstrated proficiency in MS Office suite, including Outlook, Excel, and WordGeneral working knowledge of manufacturing techniques and continuous improvement tools and methodology
