Job Description
Responsibilities Include:
Coordinating the incoming and outgoing material flow of materials for the production areas.
Communicating effectively within the department and throughout the organization.
Maintaining the highest level of accuracy in the inventory count while satisfying the needs of internal customers with an emphasis on quality service and timely delivery.
Maintaining accurate inventory records by verifying part counts and entering information such as materials received, materials issued, miscellaneous adjustments, and file and pull locations to ensure that current information is always available to support scheduling, production and ultimately customer satisfaction.
Supplying manufacturing areas with materials necessary to meet production goals by locating parts in the inventory computer system, picking them from the warehouse, and delivering them to internal customers.
Acting as a resource for other team members and for other manufacturing personnel by solving problems related to inventory count, warehousing procedures, or the location of parts to promote and maintain smooth work flow in the warehouse.
Continually monitoring warehousing methods, processes and procedures to assure meeting departmental goals relating to efficiencies, equipment utilization and time usage in order to maintain or improve cost competitiveness.
Qualifications
High School graduate or equivalent
Warehouse experience, including experience with computerized record keeping system
Computer skills including but not limited to: Microsoft Excel and Word. Determine warehouse locations and maintain inventory accuracy
Detail oriented with strong planning and organizational skills.
Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, percentages, etc.
Ability to read, interpret and prepare manufacturing and warehousing documents.
Ability to differentiate between alpha and numeric characters.
