Job Description
The Senior Consultant position is responsible for the delivery of implementation services for Oracle NetSuite customers in a post-sales environment. Working with the rest of the Professional Services department, this position will quickly assess customer needs, develop innovative plans to solve their problems and implement these plans to the customer's satisfaction. The Senior Consultant is expected to assist in any sales engagement that may arise with existing customers and in some instances, work directly with the Sales and Account Management team to close those opportunities. The successful Senior Consultant must have a passion for helping customers find creative ways to more effectively run their businesses. Finding new ways to constantly improve the satisfaction and loyalty of our customers is a top priority. Working with aggressive timelines and a full customer portfolio is required.
Responsibilities
Gather and document customer business requirements
• Work with customers to configure NetSuite software to support customer business requirements
• Architect solutions for complex business requirements which may include complex configurations and/or complex technical components
• Define detailed functional requirements for automations and integrations to NetSuite
• Work with technical teams to design and test automations and integrations
• Perform quality reviews of deliverables developed by other team members
• Collaborate and communicate with Project Managers and colleagues to facilitate on time and on budget project delivery
• Achieve or exceed billable utilization targets
• Continue to increase product knowledge and pursue relevant certifications
• Support the sales cycle through solution review and feedback, and assistance with scoping and estimation
Preferred Qualifications/Skills include:
• Experience with defining requirements for complex customizations and integrations
• Project team leadership experience
• Ability to influence customers to modify current business practices, as required
• Ability to manage scope and expectations with the customer
• Strong communication skills
• Strong presentation skills
• Ability to establish credibility and rapport with internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to work within project teams, and collaborate cross-departmentally
• Ability to communicate effectively with functional and technical resources
• Ability to guide customer based on leading practices
• Ability to manage multiple projects
• Experience with software in a SaaS environment including any experience with Accounting, Sales Force Automation, Marketing Campaigns and Web presence
• Consulting experience with QuickBooks Great Plains/Microsoft Dynamics, SalesForce.com , Upshot, ACT, Goldmine, MAS 90, Siebel, Oracle, SAP, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, NetSuite
• Pre-sales consulting experience
• Bachelor s degree, preferably in Accounting or Management Information Systems
• Master’s degree or post graduate coursework preferred
• 6+ years of overall relevant professional experience, including ideally 2+ years of NetSuite ERP package solution implementations. NOTE - competing vendor solution experience may be considered
• Broad industry vertical experience in either or both of the following sectors: manufacturing and wholesale distribution
• Finance/accounting background a plus
• Focused industry vertical solution experience a plus
• NetSuite product certification a plus
