Work Arrangement:
Onsite: The position requires an employee to be on-site on a full-time to basis.
The Role:
The Edmonton Parts Distribution Centre is looking for a responsible, hardworking, and out-going Student Supervisor for a medium sized group of hourly employees for our warehouse operation! You will be responsible for timely shipment and/or receipt of parts by efficient utilization of labour and equipment. The selected candidate will provide mentorship and support for all warehouse staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintains safety and good housekeeping practices Maintains records to track and improve departmental performance Active involvement in the operation of the warehouse Assist with planning and scheduling of departmental staff Assist with training, staff meetings, and supervising staff with guidance of the General Supervisor Maintain awareness of quality standards, communicate departmental quality goals, and leverage resources to solve quality issues Empower and develop employees to effectively perform their jobs applying standardized methods Develop and revise work instructions as required Willingness to work afternoon shift

Required Qualifications:
Pursuit of a Bachelor's (2nd, 3rd and 4th year students) degree in one of the following areas: Business, Operations, Engineering Able to work fulltime, 40 hours per week in Canada, and for 8-month term (2 consecutive semesters) starting January 2024 High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, motivate employees, and elicit work output Strong organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills Demonstrates strong leadership and written/verbal communication skills Highly adaptable with the ability to work independently and in a team environment Fundamental digital literacy including proven understanding of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
