Major League Baseball’s technology based Summer Internship Program is designed to provide exceptional students interested in a career in sports with a unique opportunity to learn firsthand about the diverse business operations of baseball. Those selected will gain invaluable work experience through challenging project assignments, information sessions hosted by MLB senior management, and various additional events.
The summer program runs from June 3rd to August 9th, 2024 and requires a minimum commitment of 10 weeks. Opportunities may be available in a variety of Technology departments including but not limited to:
Software Engineering Software Test Engineering Enterprise Technology Technology Services Broadcast Operations Data Science Data Analytics Information Security Product Management Product Design Gaming/VR
Most opportunities are based out of our New York City office in Midtown. We also have internships available in our San Francisco and Boulder offices.
All applicants must meet the following criteria for consideration:
Matriculated rising junior year, senior or current graduate students Working towards a Computer Science related degree Self-learner, independent, and outstanding problem-solving skills Excellent academic standing Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Familiarity with Python, Java or React Some previous work experience (part-time, internship, or volunteer) related to the department(s) of interest is strongly preferred Prospective candidates must submit the following materials to receive full consideration. Per the NYC pay transparency law, the hiring range for this position is an hourly rate of $20-$23. The actual offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your work experience, education, skills and any other factors MLB considers relevant to the hiring decision.
