Team and Role:
Equinix Digital Services is looking for a Customer Engineer Summer Intern to join our Customer Engineering team. As a Customer Engineer Summer Intern you are responsible to deliver top-class support to global enterprises that drive the modern-day digital economy. You help support applications and infrastructure that enables thousands of customers to connect with their cloud services. You will be exposed to awesome tools, systems, and products as well as help brush up your IT skills like SQL, API, Networking and many more.
Customer Engineering team serves as a technical partner to our customers, helping to accelerate their efforts to build solutions on top of Equinix Digital Services. To do this, you'll need to draw upon your experience with networking, and systems administration.
This role requires both technical and communication skills including general troubleshooting; network performance testing; and a desire to engage with stakeholders across a variety of mediums - from live chat and Slack, to our ticketing system.
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in cloud-native technologies. You will join a collaborative, global and cross-functional organization that includes all aspects of customer engagement and management.
Assignments and Responsibilities:
You will help in troubleshooting customer reported issues and incidents.You will support documenting and creating SOPs for common incidents.You will get to experiment with enterprise grade products (Network Function Virtualization, On-Demand Hardware and Cloud Interconnection) that drive the digital economy.You will provide recommendations and suggestions on how to improve support for the worlds biggest tech leader.

Who You Are (Requirements and Qualifications):
Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university/college, in your penultimate year of your bachelor's or master's degree studies (Graduation between December 2024-September 2025).Available to work full-time for the entire duration of the Summer Internship Program (between July to September, depending on your school system) .Ability to multi-task and work collaboratively and effectively in a fast-paced environment .Excellent written and verbal communication skills, business proficiency in English .A strong interest in Computer Networking, System Administration, Application Support, Server-side Hardware, SQL / Databases, APIs IT ManagementAnalytically driven and detail-oriented, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Package and aptitude to learn new tools.
