  PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  Performs daily operator checklist of machinery

  Executes lumber cutting timely and in the sequence required by production

  Sorts and organizes scrap material generated from machinery

  Effectively communicates mechanical breaks, errors, and down time to production management and maintenance staff

  Safely and effectively operates computer-aided systems

  QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  Adheres to PPE and safety requirements of the production facility

  Maintains consistent housekeeping of work area

  Is on time with consistent attendance and operates through shift end

  Manages own time clock effectively

  Is a team player and takes direction from production manager

  Is willing to do what it takes to get the job done safely and efficiently

  Proactive problem solver

  Follows instructions, willingness to learn and train when required

  Consistently achieves high quality and volume targets of work area

  SCOPE

  All tools and equipment to be used in accordance with manufacturers’ recommendations

  Abides by safe lifting procedures

  Reads and interprets material and cut list information

  Ensures quality parts and materials produced through machinery

  Navigates machinery interface effectively

  Troubleshoots machinery issues, identifies root cause, and retains corrective action knowledge

  Supports all additional tasks directed by the production manager

  REQUIRED EDUCATION

  Professional behavior in the workplace with good communication skills

  Willingness to pursue training for trade knowledge advancement

  REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  2 years of machine operation or similar experience

  Ability to read, count and write

  Ability to lift and push 50 lbs

  Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check

  Must be able to prove eligibility to work in the United States

  40+ hours weekly including up to 2 Saturdays a month as scheduled

  Learns and understands necessary computer programs to perform job related tasks
