Decision Making:
The role of warehouse analyst will be expected to make operational decisions based on capacity/labor constraints to ensure effective receipt/shipping of inventory, including the approval of overtime. Furthermore the role will also include responsibility for some transportation activities and their effective operation. Also will be required to submit warehousing input and support for Logistics and NA Supply operations/initiatives!
Financial Responsibility:
AOP budget setting inputCoordinate invoice payment of warehousing vendorsTrack warehousing expenses v. annual budget, explain the drivers, and mediation actionsLogistics/NA Supply/Innovation project costing and analysis
Management Responsibility:

Complexity of Role:
The role of warehouse analyst will intersect with all of the other functions within CS&S as well as many departments across greater NA Supply! The primary objective of the role is to facilitate the smooth performance of the warehousing link in Diageo’s supply chain. Key to achieving this objective is establishment of effective relationships with our key customers. These customers include Third party logistics providers, Diageo CS&S colleagues, and the Innovation & Conversion teams.
Diageo’s supply chain is multifaceted. Our warehouse operations need to be flexible and nimble in order to provide effective support to the business. The warehouse analyst role is accountable for working with our warehouse providers to ensure they adapt to Diageo’s changing business needs. This role is one of two warehouse analyst positions. The analyst workload is balanced across the business units. Each coordinator will have tactical responsibility for a sub set of Diageo’s warehouse operations.
While many of our warehouse operations are well established and mature, there is no shortage of opportunities to improve our cost base and service levels. As such, the warehouse analyst will also become involved in various projects crafted to drive continuous improvement.
The warehouse analyst position is based in Stamford, CT and is expected to travel 10-15% of the time.

Qualifications and Experience:
2-5 years of practical supply chain experience and relevant Bachelors degreeExcellent oral and written communication skillsProven ability to manage & build third party relationshipsBasic understanding of general financial and accounting principlesProject management experience a plusWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite / SAP
