　　BlackRock's Multi-Asset Strategies & Solutions (MASS) team is the investment group at the heart of BlackRock's portfolio construction, asset allocation, and active management ecosystem. MASS draws on the full toolkit of index, factor, and alpha-seeking investment capabilities to deliver precise investment outcomes and innovative alpha insights. Our team of 300+ multi-asset investment professionals constructs active asset allocation strategies and whole portfolio solutions across a wide spectrum of commingled funds, separate accounts, model portfolios, and outsourcing solutions in the wealth and institutional channels. Currently, MASS handles approximately $1 trillion in assets and has a strong presence in the Americas, EMEA and throughout Asia Pacific.

　　Within MASS, Manager Research evaluates investment strategies for multi-manager client portfolios, working closely with portfolio managers across client segments and asset managers globally.

　　We are looking to fill two roles, one Associate and one Vice President.

　　Your responsibilities

　　Independently and in teams, research and evaluate investment opportunities and strategies with a focus on alternatives strategiesMake well-researched recommendations on asset class opportunities and identify investment managers best able to complete theseWork closely with BlackRock multi-manager investments teams in anticipating demand for investment strategies, make allocation recommendationsActive ownership of recommended investment strategies and the relationship with the respective investment managersParticipate in the design and ongoing management of portfolios with well-researched proposals for strategic investmentsDocument research findings from initial due diligence and ongoing monitoringRegularly prepare reports summarizing manager performance and portfolio positioningStay up to date about products and trends in the investment management industryWork with Manager Research colleagues and Leadership to line up and implement research pipelineRepresent BlackRock and Manager Research in client meetings and to the investment industryContribute to the evolution of our Manager Research processes by proactively suggesting and developing new research techniques

　　Demonstrated experience and success in conducting investment research on asset managers that provide alternative/private strategiesStrong cross team and firm relationship building skills, capable of adapting style of communication to the audience,A Bachelor's degree in finance,economics,mathematics/statistics, or a related field or a demonstrable interest in investments and/or financeRelevant professional qualification (e.g. MBA/CFA/IFA) or is willingness to study towards oneExcellent written and verbal communications skillsOutstanding analytical capabilities, which form a important part of our research processAbility to work independently, while also acting collaboratively as a great team member in our world-wide teamExperience working in a global environmentAbility to independently manage your own schedule to support a global business model

　　BlackRock's hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all. Some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities.
