　　Job Summary

　　The key purpose of this position is to provide underwriting support to a defined group of new as well as renewal self-funded clients specifically in the stop loss area. Builds strong relationships with stop loss carriers to maximize account retention, renewal increases and regional growth. Internally this position works closely with Client Management, Sales and Claims. Externally this position interacts with Brokers and Stop Loss Carriers.

　　Required Job Qualifications:

　　High School Diploma or GED equivalentMinimum of 3 years of underwriting experience or 3 years of experience working in the self-funded medical insurance industryAnalytical skills including the ability to make recommendationsAbility to problem solve and think outside of the box to create customized solutionsExcellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers, along with all levels of the organizationKeen attention to detail including accuracy, thoroughness and consistencyAbility to shift priorities and focus on new task or challenges as neededAbility to gain trust and negotiate diplomatically and tactfullyProficient in MS Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

　　The compensation range for this Underwriter role is $17.28 to $32.44. The salary offered will vary depending on your job-related skills, education, knowledge, and experience. This role aligns with an annual incentive bonus plan.
